I am a Canadian oil painter and I find most of my inspiration in working from life.  My academic training was in realism.  I spent many years capturing expression through portraiture particularly the innocence of children.  Through plein air painting, I have expanded my work to include both local landscapes and those in my travels.  Emotion is the driving force of my art work as I am inspired to capture the fleeting moments of time on paper and canvas.
